Hey guys! Been very busy lately doing a lot of cool stuff that I hope you guys will find interesting.
Grinding the Poker Tables
I’ve really been developing myself as a poker player recently. I was under a stake in December where I was playing $25nl and $10nl and not really going anywhere. I got pretty discouraged and decided to end the stake and focus on school that is coming up this upcoming Monday. Well, I obviously got bored fast, got a little money online and started grinding away. I quickly made $700 or so.
I then decided that I should withdraw the $700 to pay for all the expenses coming up so I went ahead and did that. I was still craving poker though. I was frustrated that I was putting in little time with poker, not actively studying the game, and barely making any progress. Whatever money I did make, I ended up withdrawing at the end of the month which put me in an endless loop of making money, cashing out, getting frustrated, making money, cashing out, getting frustrated, etc.
I ended up finding a really good stake over at GR88 which is a part of the Merge Network. I can guarantee that if you are a poker player who plays a decent amount, you will find that the tables over at GR88 are much softer than the standard PokerStars or FullTilt poker tables. I also find games running 24/7 and tons of action. I can’t recommend it enough.
Why do I like GR88 so much? Here is why:
This graph is the last week of poker for me. I started out playing $50nl and did really well. Today, I ended up getting the chance to take a shot at $100nl so I did that and that went fairly well!
As you can see I’m making some pretty good money now and am excited to dive back into poker! I’m sure I can go to school Monday through Wednesday and then play poker close to full time Thursday through Sunday when the tables are really good. I see bright things in the future for me in terms of poker. I’m also discussing with some friends possibly living in Las Vegas this summer for a month. We’ll have to see
Losing Tons of Weight
I know tons of people make new years resolutions every year to lose weight. I decided to lose weight 3 weeks back and since it was around new years it worked out perfectly to be my resolution. I’ve been doing really well so far! I’m already down over 11lbs and am leading an overall healthier lifestyle!
You can check out my weight loss progress over at Kaizen Lifestyle. Right now, I’m currently trying to get up to running a 10k in 4 months. So far I’m doing well! Just FYI, if you work a lot (especially at a computer) doing exercise is the most rewarding thing ever! You feel great all day, you can think better, and you have better concentration. I highly recommend it.
School is Coming Up!
I can’t wait to be back in school! I’ll be moving my way towards a degree in business and having another notch in my belt. I’m mostly excited to get involved in the college lifestyle again and be active in groups and clubs. The networking potential is going to be huge and I can’t wait! If you make money but don’t go out and do stuff, that is BS. For me, college is that outlet. I’m able to meet new people every few weeks, work on something long term and meaningful, and as an added bonus, I’m walking to school to get a little cardio in every day.
